Greetings of Peace and Love! I am Fr. Ruel Z. Mesa, born in the Philippines on July 10, 1980. I arrived in the US on August 12, 2004; finished theological studies at St. Patrick's Seminary in Menlo Park, CA in 2008; was ordained as Deacon on May 28, 2007; and was ordained to Priesthood on August 22, 2008. Weeks ago, while I was in the Philippines for a vacation, I received the news about my transfer from Holy family in Citrus Heights to St. Mary's Church in vacaville. It broke my heart to leave great people behind, who showed me their love and affection during the past two years, but I was also excited to meet new friends, new parishioners, whom I am considering now as my new family, here in St. Mary's Chuch. As your new Parochial Vicar, I promise to serve you with love and dedication and walk in the path of love and service. i am looking forward to meeting each of you. May God bless you all!
