Ecumenical Panel & Prayer Service at Cathedral

Special Event at the Cathedral of the Blessed Sacrament on January 23, 2020

A special Ecumenical event will take place at the Cathedral of the Blessed Sacrament on Thursday, January 23, 2020 during the Week of Prayer for Christian Unity.  A Panel Discussion featuring several religious leaders, including Bishop Mark Holmerud of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America, Sierra Pacific Synod, and Rev. Orpheus Choir and Orchestra Presents:  Christmas: from Cathedral to Broadway

SUNDAY, DECEMBER 15 at 7:30pm

The  “Musical Mass” at  St. Mary’s, delightfully shared,  by full choir, orchestra, and soloists. A setting written For St. Stephan’s Cathedral in Vienna. Presented by The Orpheus Choir and Orchestra, who last year brought us “Christmas in the Alps.” This December 15 they return to St. Mary’s to present “Christmas: from Cathedral to Broadway,” presenting a beautiful “Ave Maria,” the composer  Diabelli’s musical setting of the full Mass text, audience carol singing, and musical holiday favorites from America’s Broadway Musicals. North Bay Ringers Handbell Choir will play several favorites, including “Ding Dong, Merrily on High,” and Leroy Anderson’s “A Christmas Festival.” Nothing says Christmas better than bells!  General Admission is $15. Tickets are available in the St. Mary’s Religious Store, parish office and at Tweed Hut and Live Music stores in Vacaville.

Come enjoy this musical feast, and the wonderful acoustics of our beautiful St. Mary’s Sanctuary!

 

Adoration on Fridays

Weekly Adoration on Fridays

Come spend an hour with Jesus!  The Holy Eucharist will be exposed for Adoration on the 2nd, 3rd, and 4th Fridays of each month from 5:00-9:00 pm in the side chapel in St. Mary’s Church.  Families, friends, groups, and individuals are welcome to visit Jesus for an hour or even for just a few minutes.

Note: On the first Friday of each month there will be no evening Adoration in the side chapel.  Instead, daytime Adoration is from 8:30 am-6:15 pm, with a Spanish Holy Hour from 7:30-8:30 pm following the 7:00 pm First Friday Mass.

 

Next Baptism Date

Saturday, January 4th, 2020 will be the next date to celebrate English baptisms. The parents and godparents of the child who will be baptized need to be registered parishioners in this church and attend the pre-baptismal preparation class. If you come from another parish, you need to present a letter from your parish priest. The next pre-baptismal class will be Tuesday, December 10, 2019 at 7:00 p.m. in the parish hall.

You need to register at the parish office before attending the Pre-Baptismal class.
