ANOINTING OF THE SICK

Anointing of the Sick is one of the Sacraments through which God pours out His grace.   As this sacrament is prayed, the person who is to be anointed is entrusted to the forgiving mercy and the healing love of God.  Through this Sacrament, we profess our faith and confidence in  our God.  We believe that God desires only the good for each one of us.  We perhaps may not understand it at some moments, but we continue to believe. 

"Are any among you sick? Let them call for the elders of the Church to pray over them, anointing them with oil in the name of the Lord; and the prayer of faith will save the sick ones, and the Lord will raise them up; and if they have committed any sins, they will be forgiven." (James 5:14-15)

Who it’s for?

Anybody who is sick can receive this Sacrament.  Please, do not wait until the individual is on the brink of death before calling for a priest to come for the anointing.
